Here's an image from the Seiko website.

Re: Non Limited Springdrive Tuna SBDB009
It's listed at 399,000 Yen so it's not going to come cheap. But of course it's a Springdrive.

I think that's the standard price for a prospex spring drive.

I hope the shroud won't be shiny like the gold one.

Agree with you Bro, everything nice but the hands. Aside from the shroud, IMHO, the hands are one of the factors that give the tuna it's identity. I also prefer this one than the gold version SBDB008. Just realized another small detail, the lugs were cut-out and incorporated in the shroud.

Just my 2 cents.....

Cheers.

Just saw this in WUS forum. From what the aztime guy was implying, looks like it will be released alongside the new Prospex line in the US.
Re: Non Limited Springdrive Tuna SBDB009
My understanding of Spring drive is a combination of mechanical and electrical... (correct me if i am wrong)

Question :

1. Is there a life span for the battery/ capacitor or power component of these watches?

2. Will it causes any leak (like battery) if unused for long period?

Spring drive got capacitator meh? I thought that better describes solar/Eco drive/kinetic. The spring drive is powered by a main spring like a mechanical watch...it uses a quartz for time regulation right?

The Spring Drive's tri-synchro regulator relies on the mainspring and not a battery. I guess there's a chance for the integrated circuit to fail, but there's no battery, etc.
Re: Non Limited Springdrive Tuna SBDB009
The color combination looks cool.
Re: Non Limited Springdrive Tuna SBDB009
Bros who subscribe to HFTL methodology can do pre-order. Seems that it is projected to be released on 20th June.

Official Seiko Japan page for SBDB-009

List price is ¥380000, which is around SGD4650. If this is so the Rakuten link is at 80% of the list price.
