Help me mod my Seiko!

Help me mod my Seiko!
Snagged a snkl41k1 for cheap to mod. This is the base watch:

I would like to wear it on bracelet as I think it will wear "bigger". What do u guys think of the dagaz Mercedes hand set with C3 lume on it but retaining the original dial? Any suggestions? Help me mod this...

Greetings Bro, the Seiko model that you snagged will look similar to the Rolex Explorer once you have installed the hand set that you have mentioned. Retaining the original dial, IMHO is ok but if I may suggest, at least try to change the markers at the cardinal points.

As per the Explorer, the 12 is an inverted triangle and the markers at the 6 and 9 o'clock points are the numbers 6 and 9 respectively. Do not touch the 3 o'clock position since the day/date is already there.

If it is too much, I guess the dagaz Mercedes hand set with C3 lume will be more than enough for now.

Kindly share us some pics once you have done it, I'm sure it will turn out great!

Hope this helps.

Cheers.
Re: Help me mod my Seiko!
Yes perhaps I will try the Mercedes handset for now. I think I prefer the white dial. If only there is a white explorer style dial out there..

I found it on the net Bro. Yes, go for the white as it seems that it is a seriously rare watch, and it happens to be an Explorer I.

Dating to 1958, this is a reference 6610.

Cheers.
Re: Help me mod my Seiko!

Parts finally arrived from Dagaz after a little more than a week. Going to pop over to K2 tomorrow afternoon....wonder how long I will have to leave my watch there?
