The No More Watches 2014 Club

Hmm, going to stop all watch purchasing for 2014 starting from today... :D



So who will be joining this club? Or is it even possible?

I always tell myself not to buy anymore watches.

Perhaps you might have been hooting "TOO FAST TOO FURIOUS"... hence, you felt the heat on your account.



It's very hard to determine.

Once one's heat cools, the itch and urge comes biting back again.



For me... i set a target first, hold the cash, wait till a better one or budget friendly piece comes out, then hoot. At least... i "virtually" feels the heat first.

I promise to spend more time with my existing luvvies and not increase the harem size when another beauty pops up...

i have this crazy thought to consolidate my "collection", shrink down to just 2-3 watches, but higher quality ones.....

I will join the club ... for the lunar Yearof the Horse! ;)



But seriously, I do the same as Bro Ed by putting aside money first then buy... Now have a target that will take some years to accumulate before purchase so likely to be lean few years..



So can only come here and drool over watchporn pics in WRUW threads... :mrgreen:

The economy is not that good nowadays. If it is not my grail watch, I will think until the cows come home. But, if it is a grail piece, I will still FHFL. :smile:

i think i'll "join" this club as well after a frentic buy/sell year. Now trying to liquidate my remaining collection so that they'll have enough wrist time such that i don't have to wind them every now and then.



Having said that, i'm hooked on BALL watches after my wife bought me 1 recently. The DeepQuest is seriously calling out.

The deep quest is a nice and solid diver..

When i was searching for a reply in HWZ using google on HOOT FIRST TALK LATER... this pops up.





In many occasion, when we were window shopping. there will be some exquisite piece that displayed on the showcase, that captures our attention.

1st thing that cheongs into our mind, "SWEE/WAAH/NICE!"

2nd thing that comes later, after some while of looking at different angles, when we get to see the price tags, and the type of discount displayed... "Seems priced right. Dunno want to hoot or not?"

3rd thing follows... a little while that's the crucial point where we'll walk in and tell the SA, "I want that..." with Credit Card in our palms, or just simply walk off, come and drool on the fine piece some other day.



In life we are often surrounded by such catalyst of voices around.

And there will be voices that tells you to move on or just do it.

...and the most common neutral one that you'll see or hear, "Just follow your heart"
