Mechanical Tuna

Mechanical Tuna
Hi,

I am thinking of getting a Mechanical (Auto) Tuna, but don't know which model is current. I was looking at the SBBN017, but realised it's a Quartz model. Any input is appreciated.
Re: Mechanical Tuna
Sbdx011 is what you should be looking for.

Thanks Ivan and Andoy, is it available here and what is the price like?
Re: Mechanical Tuna
Preowned 3000 +/- a few hundreds

Try bigtime

Re: Mechanical Tuna
Wow, way beyond my budget, think I'll just go for the baby tuna, SRP231K1. Tks Ivan.
Re: Mechanical Tuna
Do consider a quartz Tuna. Dollar for dollar it is just as worth it as anything else.
Re: Mechanical Tuna
Quartz already half the price of the mechanical which is the Emperor! IMHO, the Emperor is the only one of the current models worth getting. As it has the 8L35 movement inside it which is considered a undecorated and unregulated GS movement, it is a great buy. No regrets. Unless you do not want mechanical and can live with a quartz movement.

Yes it is one helluva big watch but man, it rocks!

But you have to know, I am a mechanical whore... hahaha.

Happy hunting!
Re: Mechanical Tuna
I love mechanical too, but the Emperor is too expensive. And the size may be a tat big for my skinny 6.5' hand

Or may be a Sardine for you?

Best to try it on first before deciding.I have 6.5" wrist and strangely the normal quartz tuna wears comfortably and looks small on my wrist. So can try the emperor tuna. A regular quartz tuna looks okay even on my wife's 6" wrist.

Never consider the tuna cause I assume it will be to big for me. Your statement now make hand very itchy liow. Very evil.

Time to save up

Agree. The Emperor sits nicely on me skinny wrists too. :D But I like watches with heft..
Re: Mechanical Tuna
Yes, eyeing this now, I think also quite hard to find as this is a very popular model.

Let the hunt begin!

Love this sardine variant.

Re: Mechanical Tuna
Reason why some models of tunas sit nicely is because the lugs are not extended out too much.

Where can I find one?

Think I'll drop by Bencoolen to have a look.
