Sudden Love for Fuss Free Watch

Sudden Love for Fuss Free Watch
Maybe it's because i have too many automatics and only one equipment slot for a watch..but i've come to have an appreciation for the quartz watch, especially the solar/eco-drive models, so much so that i am now on the hunt for one as my first watch acquisition for 2014. Any bros here have recommendations? I want this watch to be:

1. Quartz, would prefer it to be solar or eco-drive but not absolutely essential

2. Perpetual Calendar (a must)

3. Sporty in style and on bracelet (must look good in casual or office wear)

4. Good lume

5. At least 100M WR

6. GMT function (if possible)

7. Price to stay within the 3 digits

Perpetual calender plus gmt function.

Try a 8F56 seiko model. I think this is the only model which have both functions.

If not, citizen might have.

Seiko models are quite limited.

Yah been searching on the net during my free time and found this citizen signature BL1258-53L, a diver with eco drive and perpetual calendar.....

Or it's cousin with chronograph function

If u can forgo the perpetual calendar, u can look at the citizen pmx56 series.

Titanium body, damn light. But solid monocoque construction.

It has that superb quality feel of a true JDM watch =D

Plus u can get it for approx SGD400. Good value :D
Re: Sudden Love for Fuss Free Watch
I generally like my watches clean, but The Seiko Solar Chrono has impressed me the most in this season.

The subtle quartz ticking on the sub dial at 9pm is so "neglect-able" that it'll be mistaken as an auto chrono.

As a bonus, it's a handsome looking diver series. Can't go wrong with a diver that saves the environment at the same time. Right?

Here's my solar with a model number of my birthdate & Bruce Lee Colour:
