seiko sumo's bracelet

seiko sumo's bracelet
so the story goes like this...

bought a brand new sumo from a bro over at sgroc, everything was smooth.

after the transaction i proceeded to the nearest city chain (tiong bahru's) to have the bracelet resized.

after showing the 2 stuffs my sumo, they told me they are unable to resize it because this watch's bracelet uses a special kind of pin, not the 'normal' friction pin. hence they recommended me to go back to seiko boutique to have it resized instead.

however, no matter how i see it, it seems to be the normal kind of pin, i dont see any difference between it and other friction pinned bracelet leh :ugeek: :?:

can any bro here validate this? :?: :?: :?:
Re: seiko sumo's bracelet
They are technically correct.

Sumo bracelet uses a *somewhat* standard (for JDM seiko watches) pin and collar type.

However, imho, any watch shop worth their salt should be able to resize it...albeit it can be a bit troublesome :D
Re: seiko sumo's bracelet
just be careful not to lose the 'collar' when resizing

Re: seiko sumo's bracelet
oh.. icic thks guys! for clearing up my doubts!
Re: seiko sumo's bracelet
can always go big time to resize it...
Re: seiko sumo's bracelet
the city chain people just lazy la, i think any small watch shop can do it for you, i did it for my own Sumo without proper tools somemore....
