Repair Chinese watches(seagull)

So unlucky of late, one 8500 movement watch on repair due to sudden stoppage, one 1020 movement watch sent back to bienne for repair/servicing, one 7c46 watch in japan for repair, waiting for replacement end links from Sinn for my defective U2 bracelet...... And now my one month old seagull watch with ST25 movement with retrograde date, power reserve and open heart has stopped running as well.



Anyone know where I can get it repaired? Too troublesome to get it sent back to Tianjin for warranty repair...

It's always a challenge to service a russian & a chinese watch locally.



Same case senario as russian, as in, in a watchmaker's mindset.



I dun know any but am curious to know who will service these watches without paying a premium fee,haha.

wah so jialat,i guess russian can bring to red army and get charged arm and leg..but chinese i really at a loss...

Last time I send in a Poljot to RAW for servicing, the price was pretty reasonable.

Your SEAGULL is 1st hand or 2nd hand one? Have ownership docs? Such as receipt or date of purchase? Which may indicate who's the seller?

If your piece is "legit" in the sense that it was from a recognized seller, maybe you can visit SEAGULL SG seek for further advice on the repair? How much will it cost you...etc... The retrograde movement seems to be the same one used in the previously released TIMEX model, which also have movement issue. This one not easy to get it done well one, not to mention, seriously lack of shifus in SG who can handle these modern Chinese movements, also lack of parts.

Im not too sure if it's even cost effective to repair a chinese movement, I think its alot easier to source another ST25 and find someone that can transplant it ?

My piece was bought new from seagull Tianjin and has 全国联保in china. Although seagull sg is their dealer in singapore(supposedly) I do not think they will repair my seagull. Anyway it cost around $270 so still worth getting it fixed
