I started collecting seikos , Russian mechs at 2007 .
The 6309 -7040 turtle was the 1st that kick started the whole thing .
Then came the skx007s , monsters etc.
a crazy ex wrecked my collection and I switched to Swiss and german watches after that.
Missed my seikos and got myself a OM 1st gen few days back , and now need advice for seeking the one that started everything - 6309-7040.
Did a search on www and found lots , in fact more then the past.
Mostly pinoys .
Is it advisable to purchase off the net or is there someone / shop locally I can physically visit which I can trust its authencity?

that's 1 crazy ex you have.
i guess since you have owned 1 before, you should be more aware of the details, tell-tale signs whether parts have been changed to aftermarket ones etc.
my friend told me certain origins he will avoid.
i am no expert in this area, sometimes i will just ask him to see the watch i am eyeing for, and he will advise whether to go for it. haha.

from wus, normally it is quite ok. unless it is those hit and run sellers, otherwise they care about their reputation in wus.
