Automatic Seiko losing 2 Seconds/ Minute

Automatic Seiko losing 2 Seconds/ Minute
Hi

I am new here. I bought a Seiko SARB017 Yesterday (Tried to post it on one of the existing SARB017 threads but was told that it needs to be approved by the moderator. I have not get any updates from the moderator todate )

While i am still figuring out how to post pictures here in the forum, i have a situation that would like your advice.

I have another Seiko Automatic Watch given to me by a friend 3 years ago. It is a black color diver's watch not sure the model. I took it out today and realised that it is running at 2.5 seconds faster per minute. May i ask if this is a major issue, do I need to send it for repair?

Sorry if you find the question stupid, i am really new to this.

Regards

Bryan

not a watch expert but if it runs +2.5s every minute, means it will gain +2.5 mins every hour? If that is the case, there is something wrong with that watch and it needs to be serviced or repaired...
