Omega Aqua Terra 2500 old model

Hi guys



My friend asked me about the Omega Aqua Terra old 2500 model. How is it, does it have any "problems"?

Never heard of any, but the 2500 has variants with the 2500D supposedly better.

thanks for the reply, I googled and found there are quite a few colour variants too.

Just expanding on what I mentioned earlier



Caliber 2500A -> First version of the movement , seems somewhat less reliable than later variants when I read up on it

Caliber 2500B -> Not too sure what is the diff but it beats 28,800bph

Caliber 2500C -> Beat rate reduced to 25,200bhp, some minor changes to the shape of the lever

Caliber 2500D -> Coaxial escapement is extensively improved upon making it much closer to the version found in the newer 8500 series.

After some reading, 2500D seems to be the better one.

Heard the earlier variants of the 2500 up to C wasn't that good, had cases of sudden stoppage of movement while still within warranty period. But yeah the D version is supposed to have been the best and most reliable variant just before they moved to 8500 series
