Folks, got a confession: I'm nuts about Milgauss. The history, the invention, the Michael Faraday elements, the science, the physics, etcetera , etcetera...



A simple watch that wishes to tell you the time, very accurately.



Needless to say, my holy grail would be the real deal, the Rolex 116400:







When I found out that Yobokies have "Milgauss" hands for sale for Seikos, I was thrilled. PayPal-Ed and ordered those bad boys. From this:

Nuff Said: one more time, I'm thrilled.



Any comments & criticism would be appreciate it.

I like the hands better than the watch. However, atm I can't think of another watch to match the hands to bring it closer in looks to the Milguass



Yobokies version looks good, btw how much does the hands set cost?

USD$25-$27? It was a fair price.



The Yobokies watch base is a simple cheap non-J "5" at SGD$120. Easily found in any multi-brand store.



I simply used my only existing Seiko 5 to fit the hands. Presenting to you: the sub(mariner)-mil(gauss)-pvd-black diamond.

milgauss is nice, especially the model with "green" crystal...but being a rolex..the price is X_X and i can't live without at least a date window....

Sounds like you need a Date Just 2 with a zng-ed green sapphire!

Stan, this poison is only Sup-Sup water. The BB more ex.

You mean the one on Yobokies Photo? Sorry, I don't know. But any generic black dial dress Seiko 5 should do the trick.



Last time I check, the selling price after discount is less than $150 with the 7S26 based.

But the dress Seiko 5s are really quite light & flimsy. Maybe you can consider getting a black dial vintage KS or GS? I think that'll be grand if the hands fit. Cheers!

I wonder of the second hand fits Orient Mako XL. Orange bezel with orange secondhand. Was wondering if the second hand comes in green as well.

My comments are bias: but as a Milgauss fan, the hands will look sensational in any dress watch by adding that Spunky Rock Star thunder bolt. :) Ziggy Stardust & the Spiders from Mars!

you mean the chapter ring? Nah, love the 50th anniversary look as a whole, but I Can't deal with the original second hand with the "5" at the tail end.

On second thoughts, a hammer second hand might work better with a quartz movement. :) more apt with the tick-tock movement.
