There's alternative to original Seiko kinetic charger.
Braun or phillips wireless toothbrush can do the trick.
Tried on 3 5m calibre & 1 7l calibre, works. Tried on k2 flat out kinectic watch, able to charge up as well.
Goggle on wus,they're Lotsa examples there

Works on induction charging, those toothbrush n Seiko kinetic work on same theory I suppose, getting a right type of toothbrush charger base is important, I got 1 that too small for thick case kinetic to fit, got another wan from Ebay, working right now.

Yap, I do have one of those but must aim correctly at the coil. The watch will heat up as you charge, heat is no good for electronics, so the life span might be shorten if you use it too often.

the toothbrush charger shld be better than or rather lower powered than seiko's original charger.
seiko charger spec says it take 2.5 hyrs to charge full.
the phillips battery charger i had take 8-10 hrs and i get 4 only instead off full 6 charge.
so imagine the surge in charge to get the capacitor charge up.
warm is okie, most capacitors in pcb board feel warm as well when powered up. try not to full discharge for long periods of times, the tendency to die/unable to charge back is higher
this works in a breeze, remove the strap/bracelet, sit the watch inside the ring can liao

You actually need alot alot alot alot alot alot alot alot of oscillations to fully charge the watch, what I heard from TS is that you need to wear it for about 2 weeks to 1 mth. I believe it is not up to 4 years in hiberating mode. I think so far I use induction to charge, need to charge every 6 mths to 1 year. Maybe I never charge full bah.
