which g-shock to purchase?

my old g-shock served me well, but no display after years of using and the rubber protecting the face peeled off.



now looking for another g-shock as regular rough (ict) use, sports and probably travel use.



budget max $120, unless there's some other useful function on a more exp watch which I could make use of.

saw a few that caught my eye from petrolnut website:



G-9000-1V (hear-say mudman is good)

GD-100-1B (the reverse video face simply looks good, and the led white might look useful) removed out of shortlist as I realised it is too big for my wrist.

G-7900-1 (no partocular reason)

G-7700-1 (the built looks good?, metal around the face, cant just peel apart unlike my old g-shock)

G-2900F-1V (for its long battery life)

G-6900-1 (for its solar)



what are you guys recommendation? welcome any recommendations apart from the list.

$120 can buy many diff models.

If you expand to pre-owned, you may have a bigger range.



G-shock is very individual.

You like but others might not like.



Some like white, some like green, ........ black or even pink. Take your time and choose bah. We suggest this or that but end of day, is your money.



Budget you already know. 1 tick

You like what colour? Another tick

You like round or square? Another tick

You like digital or analog? Another tick

You like? You buy.

Personally I only like the DW5600 series.

I dont think I could reccomend you any particular piece from the G-shock line because they come in so many forms and functions to suit your individual needs.

6900 for me. 5600 are too small for my wrist. :(

ended up buy 8900. not wearing it yet. was really tempted to buy certain models with reverse display but really quite hard to see the time..

I have a G9000MS MIRB Mudman, used it during my army days few years back.

Even though I don't wear it now, it still functioning well, have not even changed a battery once yet!

I love g-shocks :grin::grin::grin:

I'd go for the G2900 for its nice big numerals or G6900.

I find the G7900 too thick, prefer a watch that doesnt protrude too much.

Had the G7700 once. The transition between rubber and metal traps grime and sand, prying the rubber off.
