Obris Morgan Nevon - A brief review

The Nevon is 200m automatic diver by the Hong Kong based Obris Morgan Timepieces.

One can custmomize the dial color (black/navy), case finishing (brushed, beadblasted, PVD black coated) and a choice of the seconds hand (yellow/neon orange) on purchase

I bought mine in brushed finish, with a navy dial and a yellow seconds hand.







The watch is presented in a toolbox style case and comes with a warranty, instruction manual and a spare screw for the lugs (in a vial)









The watch is powered by a workhorse miyota 8215 movement and is cased in a thick 316L stainless steel case.

The thickness of this watch is obvious when placed side by side against the speedy pro





The watch comes with a hefty engineer style bracelet with a signed clasp and SELs ( solid end links). The bracelet is very comfortable on the wrist and balances the heft of watch head . Adjusting the bracelet is also a simple process as the extra links can be removed or replaced with a flat head screwdriver.







While the dial option is navy, it actually appears a little closer to turquiose in sunlight. Watch crystal is a single side coated AR sapphire.

The bezel is a unmarked unidirectional 120 click rachet bezel and while the bezel clicks requires certain amount of pressure to turn, there is no play in the bezel between clicks.

Get it direct from OM. Their customer service is top notch. I had a small issue with one of the bracelet pins and he immediately dispatched one extra, no questions asked.
