Newbie modding pics
Hello, I'm glad I found this forum :)

I've recently started a new hobby, modifying seiko divers, I've gone a bit nuts recently and bought 9 watches, all to be modified over the next few months, here's a few pics of my first attempt, all parts are Yokobies.

It stated out as a nice SKX007, nothing wrong with it but I wanted to "improve" it a bit :D

I replaced the hands, bezel insert and chapter ring and bracelet, I'm delighted with the finished watch. I hope you dont mind me sharing the pics on here.

That's not a bad idea, I have a set of non coloured plongeur hands spare. I also might change the chapter ring to a green one if I can find one.

Hi, All the equipment I use is available on ebay and none of it was expensive.

The 3 things I find the most usefull are:

1. A case holder / vise

2. A table top hand setting tool, for me this is an essential and much easier to use than the hand held tool.

3. A crystal press with a decent range of nylon dies.

I also have a set of budget watchmakers tools with screwdrivers, a 3 point case opener ect.

Hope this helps :)
