Ipad 1 or Chinese android 10" tablet ?

Hi seeking some expert opinion. I wanted to buy a kid <5 years old> a tablet for learning and entertainment. Budget max $150-200

I have 2 option :



1) buy a used Ipad 1 32GB Wifi & 3G in relatively good condition



2) buy a new Chinese made android 16GB wifi, dual core processor



I had tried both, although the Ipad 1 is a single core tablet, its seems to be just as responsive as the Chinese made dual core tablet.

Apps wise, i know Ipad are usually chargable while android has many free apps. Jailbreak or roots maybe consider at later stage.



I am a little confuse.



Needs some input and expert view which may be a better option.

For kids usage... android should be enuff, though without 3G connection.

Since tablet batteries are mostly internally sealed, preown will mean a tendency to lost it's charge after sometime of usage. IPAD batteries are common, but expensive.

Get iPad 1.

I would choose an Ipad also. The el cheapo China tablet I bought Sucks even tho its a dual core.

Buy both.

The 1 u dont want sell us.

OK , thanks for all the information.

Decided on the IPad 1 instead due to availabilities of parts, service and many ppl suggested it too.



*for the Chinese Android, found out warranty is only 6 mths. Some friends i spoke with over the weekend has trouble with their unit.
