Crown on GS

Crown on GS
Just gotten myself my very own "snowflake"...and while I'm in love with it...there's just 1 minor thing nagging at me.

For you guys with GS...when the crown is screwed in...is the "GS" upright? Mine is not....

it's very hard for you to get a watch with signed crown with the logo upright after u screwed in.

u can go to a watch technician to assist u to remove and adjust.
Re: Crown on GS
yup I figured it will be hard....

go watch technician do-able ah? how do they do it?

was just thinking if seiko is able to make this minor detail happen, it will further showcase how meticulous they are

take out the whole crown and re-adjust again.......
Re: Crown on GS
Hiw I dont know, suspect they take out the whole screw and trial and error until screw in swee swee upright.

If it disturbs u no end.

Get it done asap.

K2 is gd.

Or I can do for u free. But no warranty and guarantee it will screw back after I take out.

Doesn't disturb me so much that I will go and get it done bah...maybe when I send it in for servicing after 3-4 years? Mainly I look at the dial hehe...

And Ivan...thanks but...no thanks...hahaa
Re: Crown on GS
Actually I go agree with walfisch, a watch @ the GS price point should have thought of that.

I recall that all Seiko logos on the case backs are aligned too. You can't change it btw, it's the screw threads in the crown and crown tube. Like your tap, no matter how you twist and turn, it will always end up in the same position.
Re: Crown on GS
I never noticed whether other brands do look into this detail though, anyone care to enlighten me?
Re: Crown on GS
OCD la..

even other swiss/german brands not necessarily have their crowns upright. no one looks at the side of the crown anyway...

It can be adjusted to your preference without going to a watch maker, its dependent on how one screws the crown in and at what position it was when you screw in. Can't say for your piece but take the time to know your piece. :D Have fun!
Re: Crown on GS
I was lucky, my sumo crown has the 'S' upright when screwed down...

From your pic I can conclude that TS gs has a big flaw, and this will seriously affect the value now. I think TS should just sell it.
