Just hooted a 7 incher phablet. Made by indian maker KARBONN, MTK6577 platform, priced less than 200sgd with 1yr warranty.Even though that the RAM is pathetically sized @ 512mb, the screen is still very smooth and responsive. Only thing that bugs me... Mediocre FM reception that even loose out to the previously bought 4.5inch android phone made by the same maker.

thanks...the specs on the z1 is very impressive and the design/built is fab, its also waterproof (1.5m/30mins)...thats why decided to take the plunge, not to worry, i am not a gamer...
you are right the battery can only last a day or so on normal usage, guess thats the problem with many android phone. and my phone gets hot very fast, maybe its waterproofing seal that restrict air cooling...but i have rooted it, tuned down the processor speed as advice by anroid users online who faced this problem as well...now the heating issues seems to have allivated and battery life improved...

The ST1 movements, to my understanding, dun have the lower end grade. As mentioned here in this reply...

This st1 looks vert different from the ones released earlier. Those released earlier are the st1 premium. It looks very different visually. The st1 premium has swan neck regulator to start with.
