1 month Has Passed & Seiko Watch Accuracy Tested .
Its been one month Exactly since i purchased my new Arctura Kinectic Perpetual SNP-029P1 , i set the time to the exact second using a Atomic clock . Since then i kept track of its accuracy using the same Atomic clock as a reference , the Arctura's time keeping is exellent & way better than the 15 sec a month stated variance . Its loss - / Gain + Variance is @ = 4 seconds + , this is a exellent result & am very pleased . :)

Thanks , well quartz kinetics keep exellent time accuracy . But i still very much like mechanical watches , even if they dont keep very good accuracy in comparison . :)

As an alternative and leaning more towards the mechanical side, the SD 5R66 keeps similar timing too. rated for roughly +/-15 though it performs much better than that: mine does -5s/month, and others do better than 40sec in a year! :oOf course, if you want total accuracy, HEQ's are the only way to go. :mrgreen:

As an alternative and leaning more towards the mechanical side, the SD 5R66 keeps similar timing too. rated for roughly +/-15 though it performs much better than that: mine does -5s/month, and others do better than 40sec in a year! :o
Of course, if you want total accuracy, HEQ's are the only way to go. :mrgreen:

either a full quartz( vintage higher jw count,ETA ESA or Seiko) or mechanical(auto/handwind/both).
or out of the norm, a beautiul certina/omega tuning fork.

for me now,kinetic is an area where I will not 'venture' into...just like ecodrive to me....but thats just me.

but anyway the tuning forks movt came from bulova..so its just debranded. If you have leads for spare parts or have time to find someone to repair, then it be better. Locally hard to find ppl willing or know how to troubleshoot tf movt as its usually throwing in another working movt into the case.
Omega tf..certina tf..bulova tf are cool... reliability wise hard to say..its just like quartz..that depends on the circuit board ..ic... gears condition.

Maybe I should run mine on a watch winder for a mth to test it out.

Exactly 1 month ago today i also purchased with my Arctura Kinetic , a Seiko Sportura Small Hand SRK-023P1 Quartz watch . I set its time against a Atomic clock & monitored its accuracy for the month , it is @ loss - / gain + = 3 seconds per month :) p.s. The Arctura Perpetual Kinetic was more like 3 seconds per month , but i rounded it up to 4 .
