Dremel rotary tool kit?

Dremel rotary tool kit?
I wonder whetheris the dremel rotary tool kit available locally instead of having to buy off eBay?

Any bros here who happen to own one please advise?

Thanks.
Re: Dremel rotary tool kit?
I believe you can get it from home fix. Owned one, was doing PC case mods. Recently used it to file down endlinks.

Thanks! Any specific brands to look out for? I noticed eBay seems to sell dremel cheap too. But those are 110volts.
Re: Dremel rotary tool kit?
I recommend Dremel.

All their parts can be found at home fix.

Re: Dremel rotary tool kit?
I have the Dremel Stylus kit

It's cordless and easy to hold and control for small items.

i usually only use the Dremel for polishing... but its the last step, after i go through hand sanding with wet 'n' dry sandpaper by hand.

vice would be best for a secure hold - which i dont have.

for cases, i hold with hand. bracelets i also hold with hand.

but i find that for better versatility and angles, i'd rather hold small parts with a needle pliers (taped of course to avoid scratch marks from the pliers)...

and don't forget to wear some safe glasses or glasses if you have. A dremel is a high speed tool and when used on small pieces, flying objects is a high possibility.

SAFETY FIRST.... its only a hobby. :)

the dremel also has other usefulness... here i made a jig for the bezel insert, so i can sand down the outer edges evenly

example of how i polished one of the mods i did:

Before

After

Hehe just get one. I believe the shop I gotten from should be cheaper than homefix. They specialise in tools and carry huge pool of dremel accessories.

Yeah, but I can't decide to go for the wired (more power) or wireless/battery (portability) version .... any suggestions opinions ???
Re: Dremel rotary tool kit?
power for me, as this is a hardly used tool, batteries are notorious for short life span....
Re: Dremel rotary tool kit?
For me I chosen powered cos can't think of any circumstances which I will need the batt model.
Re: Dremel rotary tool kit?
I saw HomeFix in Marina got sell. There is some asscessory too.
Re: Dremel rotary tool kit?
Bought a carrefour house brand dremel tool last time for kit basing transformer toys. Best 30 I ever spent. Accepts all standard dremel tool bit.

Btw anyone got any guide how to polish watch case? Got a scratch on the watch my wife gave me for our wedding...better remove it before she cracks my head
Re: Dremel rotary tool kit?
Is it a deep scratch ?

What's the finishing on the watch case ?

If it's a brushed case, re-finishing it won't be easy..
Re: Dremel rotary tool kit?
Didn't really check but should not be a deep one. Its at the six o'clock of the case, polished case. Will take a picture tonight when I'm home
