Modding a Seiko Mid-Sized Diver

Modding a Seiko Mid-Sized Diver
[color=#00BF40]Hi all,

I've been trying to get parts to mod a Seiko mid-sized diver, like the SKX015. I've asked MCWW, 10Watches & Yobokies. They all have replied that they don't have parts for the mid-size. All their parts are for the full-size SKX007/009.

Was wondering if anyone has/ had experience with the mid-size?

Thanks.

Apparently, the dial used can be the same as from a SKX007, just that the chapter ring is not usable.

The FFF one looks good w/o a chapter ring...

I've been informed separately that the SKX013/015 & the SKX007/009 both can use the same size dial.

The main issue probably is that using "normal" length hands might touch the smaller Chapter Ring. I'm not sure if the Chapter Ring serves to "hold" down the dial in the watch. Will the dial move if there is no Chapter Ring?

http://www.thewatchsite.com/index.php?topic=30002.0"feet" may not be in the same location. But in your case, the skx015 and skx007 will hv the same dial and feet.

Chapter rings are specific for each watch case. So the chapter ring on the skx007 will not fit the skx015.

Majority of aftermarket parts are made to fit skx007 case.

Chapter rings are usually not fixed on the dial (except for monster, that I know of). The chapter rings is either held in place via the xtal (skx031/033) or sits on the dial and guided by a notch on the dial.

I hope this helps.
