Re: Talk abt fish keeping
I think my luck is changing.

Last night my CO said that I can get a small fish tank, hope she don't change her mind

hmm, I told my daughter that I will set up the new tank with patience...not to add fish first...stablise the water condition then add fish.

Since it would be a small aquarium, think I would go for a blue damsel, yes a marine tank!

Hope my bubble don't burst..... :geek:

Kribensis

Re: Talk abt fish keeping
I used to have a 4x3x2.5 ft marine tank. keeping hard corals with small fishes like nemo, wrusses, box fish and puffer. until I started diving and learned how they harvest marine fishes in this tropics. the native fisherman trawl their nets across the seabed, clearing everything along the way. I was so upset that I returned everything back to the aquarium.

now keeping community tank with arowana, spotted ray and discus. it's still quite bad, but at least they are farmed. =x
Re: Talk abt fish keeping
saw this youtube video, really enjoyed it. It's a well planted tank with and you can see pairs of cichlids "fighting"

Thanks taxidriver for posting the pics.

Are any of your Angel fish the wild type?

I caught 1 cichlid that has very similar fins and body shape to your Santanoperca Daemon at Lower Pierce yesterday. Dont know will survive or not cos I havnt set up my tank yet. I wanted to release it back, but knowing my daughter...

edit: just re-read your post - your fishes are wild caught...the banded cichld also ah?
Re: Talk abt fish keeping

Sorry abt the misleading title, peruvian angels, mapiritensis, daemons, cupido are wild caught, manacapura & bandit may be farm-bred? I purchased mainly from JZX @ ang mo kio & Aquahobby @ Lim Tua Tow Rd. Watching their colour intensify as they grow is a real joy :D

used to grabbed 1 shot 10 pieces of these rare kribensis from Aquahobby, they are very very nice, but too bad died 1 by 1 after water change, till now no re-stock.

Hoping to grab this rare "yellow cow head" but no luck
Re: Talk abt fish keeping
If got stock of Kribensis, please post here ok, I'm very interested in them although I havn't even set up my tank yet.

I've gotten out my canister filter from the store room though, have to get a 2 feet tank.
