I immediately changed the stainless steel bracelet with an MM300 strap which looks much better imho. Here it is together with my orange monster :smile:

Thanks bro Ivan/Miker/Wade :) No regrets in purchasing this watch..I know some find this rather expensive (as with all Thai LE's) but when I saw it in the metal, I simply couldn't resist!! definitely a keeper for me :)

Nice. Didn't know Seiko acknowledge the model as sumo too.
Seiko Japan doesn't seem to. However, Seiko Thailand has no qualms about taking what the public has named the watch as their own... did the same with the Samurai and the Monster.

Honestly seems like the resellers are the reason these Thai LE's go out of control, and Seiko in Thailand seems happy to allow them to grab them immediately off the line and take the risk with selling them locally / internationally at twice (or more) what they paid.

Bought from a Thai reseller during my previous trip to BKK. You're spot on regarding resellers jacking up the price for these Thai LE's. But how can Seiko control the after market? Seems impossible to tell who is buying from a retail outlet then later selling online or at their own shop :roll:
The cyclops is really one of the highlights of this watch..but what really caught my eye is the yellow on yellow bezel-dial combo!! :twisted: another plus is the sapphire crystal :P

True, perhaps i was a bit harsh on Seiko Thailand; no idea how many of these are picked up by Thai collectors and how many are put for resale... Maybe TS should get on this LE bandwagon, red & white Sumo anyone? ;)
Do think Seiko, or at least the retail employees, will know who the resellers are. Heck, probably give a good-customer discount too... :P
Regarding the cyclops... personal preference, I guess. :mrgreen: Def agree on the yellow combo, as well as the sapph xtal but domed would be awesome too. :)
Again, it's your money, as long as you enjoy what you buy, that's all that matters - the rest of us are just along for the ride. :)
