wroth to buy?

wroth to buy?
hi guys,

Do you guys think wroth to pay 1500usd:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-Seiko-Divers-Diver-200-Vintage-Watches-6105-6138-Automatic-Kinetic-/281091072297?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item4172556129" false;

thanks

Re: wroth to buy?
My suggestion is to ask for more pics for the individual watches. The 6105.... if mint fetches up to 1200USD. any rework will dramatically fall in value imho...

From the hands, it doesn't look too minty.... Again look properly, no haste as these will turn up again and again....

Get the best value for money. Unless there are 'got money cannot buy' ones than we can wait.

It's not worth to do a rework on these watches and they fall in value even after. Collectors want original parts Untouched parts. Best if Mint or NOS.

I believe you are able to get fairly good condition 6105 in the market. I saw the other watches in the lot.If you have USD 1500 to burn....Get a nice watch!

I love vintages as they have character but getting the right one its the fun bit.

You only compromise if it is a rare vintage.Otherwise 6105 and the likes appears very often.

Personal opinion, do not get anything from the Philippines.

Hi sir, thanks for reply.

i do love vintage. i used to collect vintage japan motorcycle. Just off off some motorcycle..

Vintage motorcycle need lot of TLC and that is the reason why i turn to collect japan watches.

I also own a vintage 6139 currently. What is the reason for not buying watches from philippines? i do saw lot f vintage seiko on ebay for sale from phillippines.
Re: wroth to buy?
well, if you ask me.

I'll say it's not worth it.

1500usd, there are better Seikos to get out there ;)
Re: wroth to buy?
The Vintage motorcycles are more interesting. Tell me more! What are you restoring now?

As you can see.... vintages from Philippines are always pristine. Would there be so many pristine ones? If there are...then that watch is not worth collecting.

They have been very upfront these days.... they tend to disclose fully the work done. So kudos to them.
Re: wroth to buy?

I agree with this. if you're someone seeking for an all original vintage watch. you might not get one.

IMO to get one its better to see one in the flesh. unless seller is able and willing to prove more pictures.

and then again, unless you're going for quantity instead of quality.... :P
