I agree.... 2 empty slots means that the case is not balanced. It might fall off the bench at anyh time! Dangerous!!

Take out 2 from the other side i will keep them for you. ;)
Re: 32 watches, 1 BIG case!!
Great case and collection but.... ahem... what are you doing with a suitcase full of watches at a playground?
Re: 32 watches, 1 BIG case!!

Wah lau eh! No more bigger boxes! This is it! If I do bigger one, will be novelty or serious special order. Anyone want to commission? LOL! Pelican has a few rifle cases! I think can fit more than 60 watches. Weight should be well in excess of 20kg when fully loaded. But can you imagine how cool that will be?????? Woohoo!!

I finally had the chance to see and feel the latest prototype 32-slot Pelican case last Saturday! I have just one word to describe it; Awesome! In fact, I was so impressed that I confirmed my order shortly after my viewing. I want to be amongst the first to enjoy it!

I wish to offer my humble comments based on my initial assessment of this case, as follows:

The case foam is well designed with its 32 slots neatly cut and arranged. It is so well and professionally done that it caught my wife's attention when I casually showed it to her. To my pleasant surprise, she encouraged me to get one!

I like its storage capacity which is large enough for me to place all my collection in one single case! At one glance, I will be able to view all my watches, which is an important aspect for watch hobbyists to enjoy admiring their watches as and when they like with much convenience.

With this one-case feature, I will not need to remember where I place my watch when comes to picking a particular piece to wear. I can now pick and choose my watch of the day with much ease and without wasting time to look for it.

This will also mean that I can 'retire' all my watch boxes to free up the storage space in my cabinet. I believe that it is an idea most welcomed by many, especially in our land-scarce country where we usually do not get to enjoy the luxury of large storage space.

Well, as for its cost, I am aware that it is not as cheap as many storage boxes or DIY cases in the market. However, I am mindful that it is not an ordinary case. in fact, it is a mil-spec case! I can appreciate its quality in view of my personal experience with Pelican cases during my days in the SAF. Apart from its lifetime warranty, fire, water, and shock proofs benefits, it is a strong, and durable case capable of protecting its contents, as intended by its manufacturer. With these, I opine that it is worth paying for it as it costs only a fraction of the total cost of 32 watches when it is fully filled up.

I hope to discover more good points when I eventually get to use it!

Thanks for taking time to read my humble initial assessment of this Pelican case.

Best regards,

Watchfun2

Yes, it is fire proof!

The military uses these bags to store and safekeep their valuable items and information, in the case of laptops. So, they ought to be fire proof!

Martinator!! Cases are looking great!!!
Re: 32 watches, 1 BIG case!!
Thanks, watchfun2! It was great meeting you too!

AND I'll need to clarify this before someone sues me. Hehehehe... The cases are fire-resistant. NOT fire-proof. BUT it's still way more protection than... most other cases.

And meanwhile... some other goodies arrived for me today:

I got prototypes in for 1120. Haven't decided which will go into production. Any comments?

Oops! My humble apology, it is fire resistant, not fire-proof. I misread an article on this case. I should say, it does protect its contents in a fire, as shown in the video.

Cheers!

Yeah hor... why pay for 4 when u can just pay for 6! LOL!!
Re: 32 watches, 1 BIG case!!
IMO, I don't think I want to transport my straps around, I will go with 6. For storage usage, 4 looks ok but straps can be kept separately :)

Very good point. The idea for this case came from one of the bros here who suggested a case for just a handfull of watches... for the WIS who travels... can pack in a suitcase or throw in the car.
Re: 32 watches, 1 BIG case!!
even the 6 watch config has a slot for maybe 2 straps, plus the 6 on watches, there should be enough to swap around! 8-)

True, but I was thinking about the bros who will use this for a display/storage case.
