Local straps seller/crafter/artist

I think we should make a list of local straps seller/crafter/artist/whatever-they-name-themselves, itchy to get a good straps, but not with very atas prices :lol: well besides K2 of course :D

hmm, since it's handcrafted, the price definitely won't be under $50 for sure ;)



for local strap makers, I think this comes to my mind instantly although I have not purchased from them before.

Been to JnS before, price is $180 and up depends on material.



Funny thing is that the lug size dont play a part in their pricing, 20mm same price as 24mm. He say wastage is about the same.

Hmm, not trying to insinuate anything but i've tried emailing JNS before, no response from them.



But their straps do look good from the pictures they put up on their website.

Oh interesting. Never knew js is a local company. Bought from visiotime before. Very nice straps, but slightly pricey.

just a note, most customize strap pr rather handmade straps go beyond 3 digit, and no way we should do comparision with off the shelf brands like paros , la vic , so on and so on.......



OFF the shelf straps offer variety in terms of color and designs instantly.and vfm for prices..... i have more of such straps than customise straps as well :lol:



hand made straps even a single color calf with simple stitching will cost 3 digit for various reasons, they definately last much longer than off the shelf straps, reasonably well made straps will fit and be comfy to wear or rather season in much much faster than off the shelf.

most of us usually dun get to wear out a strap as we all have much more than 1 watch and 1 strap.... :lol:



with age, such straps usually season very nicely with the vintage look.



310 woodlands- formerly from hereen, still ard orchard. makes very good 24mm straps , prices very high, i seen them b4 inside his well kept box, largely due to my leather craft fren's long term friendship with him. can be claimed as the cream of the local leather craft, not just straps.

not all the stuff in his shop are done by him.. some are consignment by leather hobbyist. normally his own hand made stuff, usually sell higher



jns-taiwanese couple who settle down in sg, work from home strap maker.... also high price.... haven seen the straps hands on.



orbbi good aka ogl - started as leather hobbyist, the main guy as gone on to full time, and they started working out from 310's shop in hereen.

does mostly online business. straps are usually done by a guy call fabien, i assume.



strap 66, another local guy, works from his place in amk, has improved quite a lot from his pics..... does mainly 24mm straps



my personal fren , Barb.full time leather craftsman at jln kledek. reasonable prices, mostly 22-24mm straps, simple calf maybe slightly less than 3 digit. works togther with a old malay guy in the same location. but quite different working timings. lead time can be long cos they have quite a lot of orders, mostly bags , wallets and other larger stuff.

still got one own sinner bro also ! leather strap maker :D

My friend David, who has a shop called Goodgoods at Millenia Walk takes orders for custom watch straps.

I believe he has some pre-made straps there for sale, NATO and otherwise. Hope this helps! :)

quite a lot of leather hobbyist eh in singapore? thanks for the leads guys, will try to purchase straps that is cheaper than the watch LOL

There is also ten10 from sg-roc who's now venturing into strap making..if you've bought his winders, watch box, leather trays from him before you know the level of his workmanship is top notch :smile:
