Re: Need Advice On this Seamaster
Long time didnt check on vintage Omega but some feedback from me(always welcome more reliable info from experienced collectors)....
This look like the typical sm300 vintage diver style(but i really find funny so someone pls tell me also) but things aint right in few ways. As mentioned refinished dial but still the 12,3,6,9 numbers are missing from respective markers position. And obviously the color of lume with hands(cant comment on the hands).
Bezel is noting of Omega standard and font isnt correct type also round dot on such bezel looks weird.
Case is unlike most omega sm300 divers where it should not be just a flat sided profile. Mostly an angular profile like mm300 or my eterna kontiki super.
backcase is funny too with the raised logo as usually for such vintage omega, they are still using engraved logo n words.
However there may be variants of later version Omega diver(auto n quartz) that uses such backcase. Never know sm300 will use such case.
Bottomline...I got no clue what its trying to be...
to get a better lead, ask your friend to get a pic of the underside of the back case with the omega info (model number)Thats the biggest clue to see and check it its a rojak and backtrack how it should look like with such case.
One nearest match of such omega lug+crown profile(from a noobs view) would be like the Ck2913, ck 14755, 166.014,simple flat out with protruding crown(no crown guard)
If I find out more will add in...
