Seiko -Arctura Perpetual #SNP029P1

With the credit note i got from returning the faulty Seiko Diver , i purchased a old favourite of mine the -



Seiko Arctura Kinetic Perpetual #SNP029P1 .



This is my second Arctura , my previous one i owned for 10yrs prior to flipping it . I made sure i throughly inspected this watch prior to leaving the retail store , its all fine :D

This model actually falls asleep for up to 4 yrs when not in use "power save mode" , once worn again it automatically wakes up & adjusts the time etc . The finish is of very good standard & its very comfy on the wrist , its like my previous old favourite Seiko Arctura is back , only brand new & its gotten smarter :)

I must be jinxed or damn unlucky , the new new Arctura fell off my wrist & is now damaged . Why ? Because of the idiot sales guy who adjusted the bracelet size forgot to put the locking collars with the pins . So while am wearing the watch the pin falls out of the bracelet & the watch smashes onto the ground :x

So now am angry & call the store & give the sales idiot my piece of mind :evil: he confirms the collars have been left out , so now back with the watch to sort out this mess . Also he doesnt have a replacement watch , so "WTF" another farking exchange again :roll: what a joke . Am sick of this shite & tired of trying to get a watch . I am honestly over this & retail stores like this can go jump , buy online me now thinks . :shock:

Very unlikely i will be compensated :? I am actually made to feel its my fault :shock: for expecting my watches to be spot on correct & faultless . When i pointed out the previous watches faults , i was almost frowned upon for being maybe to fussy "BS" i say . Retailers should lift their game , particularly when online sellers are cheaper .

I also e'mailed Seiko Australia & told them of the quality control issues with some of their watches , dont get me wrong Seiko make great products . But i have had a crap exprience of late with their products , when in the past its been only good .

Update -

Well i returned the Arctura & had it replaced with another of the same model , the bracelet was correctly adjusted with lock collars & pin in place . What a relief its finally done with :) now i just cant enjoy my new Arctura . ;)

Just thought i'd mention , the surprising auto relay technology my Arctura kinetic perpetual caliber has .

I didnt wear my Arctura for over 24hrs & when i gone to use it again the watch was in sleep mode , the minute hand was stopped , the hour hand , the date was wrong . I given the watch a couple of swings & it was amazing to view everything come to life , the dates reset themselves , hour , minutes hands reset themself automatcally in a smooth fluid action "like magic" to see the watch re-awaken . I checked the time accuarcy of my Arctura against a online atomic clock & its accuarcy was accurate down to the second "awesome" this watch "Rocks" . :D

Surprise ur date goes to actual date. My,only timing goes back. Date does not change.



My however is the older 3 hands auto relay. Not perpetual

Yeh , it must be perpetual calander models only that change date .

If it is the same movement as mine 7D48, the date should show the current date.



Only the hour, minute and second hands are in sleep mode.

In fact your maybe correct , i was busy watching the hour , minute , second hands + 24hr indicator swinging into action & assumed the date changed immediately also :? Still its quite amazing to view the watch re-awaken , nice Premier perpetual you have , its same caliber as my Arctura .

Update -

Just a mention , its been now over 2 weeks since i got the SNP-029P1 . I set it to the exact time / seconds using a Atomic clock , i checked the timing & its dead accurate & not one second either way , thats 'spot on accurate' :D
