ah... from the looks of it, it should be embossed veg tan leather. ur skill not bad though, just need to improve on burnishing the edge. Mind if i post some of my leather craft work?

Bro, i think u can start selling ur strap as u are having alots of straps. Selling it can be good for u to opt for better leather and better leather craft tools.



From ur straps here, i can see that u need to improve on ur stitching. Try pull the thread with moderate force for every stitch to have an even stitch. U can also try to hammer the stitching line with a rubber mallet gently too.

Yes, it is better to flatten the thread as if the thread protrude out, after wearing it for awhile, u can find those thread marks on ur wrist and also, protrude thread makes u feel uncomfortable at times.

Ah.. not bad, ur stitches improve alot. U actually pull the thread at a good strength and u knock down the thread to make it looks neat. Now u just need to keep practicing it till u are good at it.



The next step for u to improve is the punch hole. My suggest is that, try to use a ruler to measure the width of the strap, from there u use a pencil to mark out the middle and draw a straight soft line. From there u will again measure the distant of each hole that u gonna punch then go a "dot" marking.



After marking all the "dot" on the straight line, u can use a punch to make a mark of all the "dot". Once everything is sure and aligned, then u will punch it permanently.

Been a while ... made these straps :D









Left 22mm round end ; Center 17mm ; Right 22mm oblong end.

Colour dark chocolate brown

Long length approx. 120mm ; Short length approx. 80mm ; Thickness approx. 4mm









May I know which stitch colour goes well with it :?:

From left to right : [A] White ; [B] Off white ; [C] Dark Brown ; [D] Gold ; [E] Yellow

[F] Dark Blue ; [G] Black ; [H] Red ; [I] Light Blue ; [J] Blue ; [K] Purple

Maybe will do a simple stitch as above post.

Usually bracelet or rubber straps are use for swimming, leather seldom leh.
