Watch Boxes - What do you use??

Watch Boxes - What do you use??
In my buying frenzy over the last 2 months, I have accumulated a fair bit of watches that are sitting in its own separate boxes or in some cardboard boxes lying on my study desk.

Would anyone be able to suggest or have lobang for a decent watch box/case that i can display and at the same time securely keep these watches? Would appreciate if you could point me to the right places to view and buy.

I am aware of the high end cases but i am not looking to buy a watch case that are in its high hundreds or thousands!!!

Show me your boxes / displays!!

I know of Quasimodo's Pelican Case with Custom Inserts but i am referring to the ones you have at home that you use to keep your prized pieces!

Anyone???
Re: Watch Boxes - What do you use??
This has been discussed before. You might wanna do a search.
Re: Watch Boxes - What do you use??
I used something like this except they are all small drawers.

Pretty handy to store some of my smaller sized Russian vintage pieces.

I did a search but did not turn up discussions on this in the first 2 pages.

I guess if this is discussed too many times.I do not want to repeat it either.

This will certainly work for me.
Re: Watch Boxes - What do you use??
started out with these...had 4-5 of these & really took up space

hence trimmed down most of the watches, decided to just keep the numbers within limit & got this from Quosimodo

Re: Watch Boxes - What do you use??
I have been using this. And I swear by them. It's slightly bigger then CEO's.

And pretty affordable at $55.

You can get this 18 slots parking box from the various TOY OUTPOST outlets. Quality quite sturdy, and good for watches under 47mm sizes. My only complain falls on the lock catch they use on current batch. Which will be a minus point to those careless handlers, should they don't hold the box correctly, watches from the box will fall out easily.

They're all supplied by a single seller. Hence the price is the same across all branches.
Re: Watch Boxes - What do you use??
No box for me as one watch only. I just leave it on my table.
Re: Watch Boxes - What do you use??
i am using the same box as rogue_hog bought from toyout post.

Quite nice looking with carbon fibre trim and sturdy.

Good enough for me at home.
Re: Watch Boxes - What do you use??
My dad always tell me dont use watch boxes, make the job easier for thieves/ robber/ house breaker only.

I think is quite true.

I also using the $55 box though.

Very good advise your Dad given you ;) . If owned a big collection of high end Grand Seiko's or Swiss wathches , i would be affaird to leave my house .
Re: Watch Boxes - What do you use??
Some alternatives here...

If your family is made up of FERERRO ROCHER chocolate fanatics, keep the 16pc size and 36pc size box for watches sized 36mm(such as the fliegers from SEIKO) and 40mm(such as the solar diver chrono by SEIKO) respectively. They fits well. I've been using them, for all 4 variants.

Bro roo7,

Are these sorted in their value.... watches more valuable you put in bulletproof almost indestructible cases??

Then Indestructible watches in normal storage?
Re: Watch Boxes - What do you use??

bought this Diplomat briefcase (400mm X 280mm X 80mm) from Mustafa @ $35, there are a few size variants. All with number combi lock and key lock.

DIY the foam insert to hold 10 watches, can cut up to 6 slots X 2 rows though, but decided to have more spacing in between watches (50mm each slot width + 20mm gap in between slots).

Bought the foam at $37 for one whole big piece (1800mm X 1000m X 25mm), eventually only used about 20%.

Any bros, need the foam please feel free to contact me :)
Re: Watch Boxes - What do you use??
Would there be scratches to the back of the watch from the bracelets using some of the more simple boxes? Need to do any protective measure for this? =)
Re: Watch Boxes - What do you use??
The diplomat briefcase gives a 'bond', especially with a 007 in. Deng deng deng deng....deng deng deng....deng deng deng deng....
Re: Watch Boxes - What do you use??
Gentlemen,

Was at Nex this evening and went to the "Toybox" shop beside the 7-Eleven store and i could not find any watch boxes. I asked the store salesperson and was told that the "supplier" pulled out from displaying his wares at this particular outlet.

I was advise by the staff to "Try" at 112 Katong.

I will try my luck online to see if my luck changes..... otherwise will find alternatives.

Not really, I started with Russians, so went on a crazy buying spree, so I invested in those storage drawers, so I can store 2-3 watches in a drawer, since most of them are 40mm and below.

Then I got the plastic cases...

When I first arranged a mix of dress and diver watches in the pelican case, 1 of them on leather decided to grow mould :( Always so irritated with leather straps for that reason.

So now, the majority of the divers are on bracelet or nato/zulu, so I leave them in a pelican case.

And shift the dress watches on leather straps to the plastic cases.

Definitely not sorted by value but by genre.
