I've received multiple times SAF100A where it was posted 1 week before "high key 3 week ICT" (those were the days before they had online SAF100A0). Imagine getting the SAF100A on Sat asking for 3 weeks on Monday (2 days later !@#$@#!)



Or getting notice of briefing after the briefing date/time (yeah it wasn't a typo) ...

mine is 2 weeks later and is a 18 days ICT.. nw training with runs etc to keep myself fitter..else will suffer later while during exercise .. no way escape... sianz

received a call frm my MDM just now n was told actuali got HAMMY 4 ROD personnels...but seems lik they out of stock so those ROD liao but haven get their watch the units wil call n inform when stocks arrive... :D

Haha ya, so this nov will be my stand down parade I hope, 8 yrs cycle completed liao. As wat Glenn explained, PRC is a training institute for cdo recruits, once they turn ops, they will move to hendon. But for ICT, it's held at PRC, a sibeh ulu camp sia.. ;)

Iya bro, it depends on the mentality when u r enlisted into NS ba, since lan LAN have to serve for 2 1/2 yrs, y not enjoy the time than to sulk, the more u sulk or chao geng, the more miserable u will be in army, lol

ICT redefined!
ya thats wht I tell myself too...since LL must served reservist and especially all high keys,might as well do a happy one and enjoy the duration. Yearly some friends(from various batch) will ROD so just enjoy the companionship thru the ICT..



I remembered on this Weds when I left for ICT(adv party),thinking how the new CO will be and how he would take care of us and this time rd in PRC,our first time there. Day 1 was an eye opener...its ICT redefined. The CO,TC and few fellow officers are all fitness freaks! Hell,the men were pushed to certain limits on day 1...and no kidding,even I nearly see some stars while doing the PTs after the run.. probably myself to blame for begin in my fitness comfort zone for too long,esp near ICT period.



Reason begin the thought(including many ppl) that ICT PTs would be a easy one,just wayang PT and look forward to lunch n dinner then book out etc.But this time till the future ICT,no such things riao.. the CO expectation to IPPT,fitness has change tremendously..no slack cdo allowed.

seriously we were all doing tougher PTs in parade square than the NSF batch.. :lol:



from day one till day 4 on saturday,we had daily PTs and runs (intervals runs,circuits,static PTs,incline runs at bukit chandu etc) we can see the changes to positive additudes in this ICT lot..ppl were running faster but more relax,enjoying themselves even when CO set a benchmark timing for runs. thats adaptation.



PTs are conducted 0630 daily so be there in 0615 with friend's transport(lucky me). But I will be awake by 0330...thinking of wht PTs for later..haha quite looking forward to it..just like hw my ICT friends said.



Cdos are just normal soldiers like rest of the men in various units in SAF. No big deal...just maybe we will walk bit longer,run bit faster,carry bit heavier than other units.. but I say the comaradie,brotherhood thing is undescribable...the fighting spirit+guailan-ness+positive attitude keeps us going.

No you guys are not the same. Pre-enlistment psychological assessments have identified you. Eventually becoming one is very much self-selected after that. For NSFs, there is very little incentive to be one.

I remembered my 1st ICT PT, led by Fred chong, knn,by the end of the PT, i couldn't even remove my brown tee, nxt day morning, my hands can't even reach my teeth, I got to literally stretch my neck to my toothbrush n brush my teeth. Dats the mentality of rod personals on 1st ICT & it changed our mindset from there on, lol!

ya ...my new Co told us to find buddy to brush teeth n 'other things' for tis ICT during the welcome talk..which we found out why later... :P

my legs especially hamstrings n calf were sore from weds but nw ok liao.. next week trg begins tml with emphasis on fitness..



seriously,this ICT got to be the most rewarding and fun one to me and many of my friends(even those who seldom do PTs in civilian life).
