GMT Watch Explanation ??

I personally dont own a GMT watch , i know the concept behind them . but being i dont own one , i never really knew how one adjusts them . thanks to the wonders of the internet , i found a very usefull link that helps answer alot of GMT questions :)

The guide for setting the GMT however doesn't apply to some GMT movements like ETA 2893 or Orient 40P51, so you can't adjust the 12-hour hand by the hour without affect the minute and second hand.



What you can adjust is the GMT 24-hour hand, so I usually let the 12-hour hand to display home time zone and adjust the 24-hour hand to display local time zone when I travel to a non GMT+8 time zone (not very often, so hardly use that function.. lol)



Like ETA 2953 and Orient 40P51, the first position of the crown is to adjust the 24-hour hand and date, by turning clockwise and anti-clockwise, then the second position for the 12-hour time.
