Do Not Walk Into a Shop Which Have 'SALE' Tags

but, it's usually this 4 letter magic words which might help WIS in acquiring watches that they are hunting for



Just so happened to walked into this shop & browsed around. Well, the shop sells mainly fashion brands up to Seikos and I just walked over to this Cyma showcase to have a glimpse of the models.



Tbh, Cyma does have some nice classic looking models but majority of the models are quartz, only a handful are automatics & well...not exactly cheap and not many folks appreciate this brand here.



As you guys might have known by now that I collect blue dial watches and recently, I was hunting around for a President style kind of dial: Tudor Date-Day 7017, 94510 etc.



THEN I saw this particular model.



Got the SA(a young one as well) to show me the watch. I knew she might not have any knowledge on watches(lol) hence I just carried on the examination myself.



Normal s/s case with smooth bezel, normal finishing without any fanciful detailings, non-decorated movement, normal sword hands. Non-sapphire(!)...duh, at this price?? I was trying to justify the price of this watch but I guess I could live with these..afterall...it's the day-date layout & the dial colour which attracted me. I guessed this was an old model. I spent almost 10mins at the same spot, looking, winding, checking but at the same time, I was asking myself 'Buy it? or pass it?'



12 minutes later, I was standing in front of the cashier, reaching for my wallet



Went home, ran a google search but couldn't find much info on this watch. Hmmm.



Anyway, moving on to pics!



simple polished case...on stock blue croc calf strap





but I love the sunray blue dial

like the logo as well, day-date snaps almost instantly at midnight.

But overall, I'm quite pleased on this 'impulse' purchase. The President style layout is definitely a nice touch and at the same time, helped me cured my itch for a Tudor DD

Get the blue strap with glossy laquer coating from k2, matches better with the shiny blue dial of ur Cyma.

If glossy laquered coating makes it too... ehem... sissy... go for the plain one lor... but after sometime, the blue might turn dark...

using the stock blue croc strap for time being until I find a nicer thick blue croc/lizard strap :mrgreen:

ETA got a logo at the balance wheel... looks like a '8' split into half or something..

Though your back case opening is not that big... but with the aid of LED light and ur camera set to macro mode... u may be able to capture that logo.
