Seiko Automatics

Hi all,



I am new to this forum and will like to seek all your advises about the Seiko diver automatic watches. Generally will it be better to get the newer models as it has just been release or will there be a problem of needing servicing if I get the older ones.



I am torn between the Seiko OM SKX781 and the Seiko new OM SRP313K1... :shock:

Seiko have some nice Auto divers , buy new if you can afford too .

imo, no differences in getting either new or old model.



servicing is a simple task as well for most watch technicians locally.

Thanks guys, I am reading up about the 2 monsters and is really hard to decide for they are both so identical and pretty. This will be my very first automatic watch and am excited about it.



I saw the recommended place to buy the watch is K2 or King Wah?



I enjoy all the posts in this forum and learn a lot about watches from everyone here. :)

I will get the newer one as it can be hand wind and hackable.

I am tossing the coin soon... really cannot decide...

the differences between the old & new are







- hour markers

- movement

- crown



some doesn't like the 'teeth-like' markers





some prefers hack/handwind,lol



so ultimately, just get the one you like :mrgreen:

I already got so much help with all the posts i read in this forum. U guys are really great!!!

stan ,probably u can try K2..he is giving quite a good price as I just went just now to get one for myself after comparing with some other shops..
