Sportura Kinetic SNL043P1 , Not Charging ??

Sportura Kinetic SNL043P1 , Not Charging ??
I purchased a new Seiko Sportura kinetic SNL043P1 watch yesterday , my 3rd kinetic Seiko . Honestly i never had a problem with kinetic Seiko's , but upon coming home , i began the ussual swinging of the watch to get the charge up from its low charge state , as indicated by the seconds hand beating @ 2 sec intervals e.g "low charge". The user manual states after 500 swings , the watch will have suffient charge & revert back to 1 sec intervals on second hand .

But after approx 3000+ swings it still indicating every 2 sec's "low charge" , imo the battery cell has sat around for to long @ dead flat & now aint taking charge or miniture AC motor isnt creating a charge . The watch is keeping good time all meanwhile , so i have returned the watch to the retailer & now waiting for 2 replacement Sportura's to be sent from its other stores for me to pick from .

I just want to get any feed back from members that maybe had similar expriences , i can only say its one faulty watch in possibly thousands ? As my previous kinetic Seiko's have been faultless for over 10 years of daily use . :)

this is a a fairly new SNL model.

I guessed it's the capacitor's issue if it's not holding its charge well and it's a brand new piece from a brick & mortar store.

small issue

I've had no big hiccups with most of my kinetics too, from the 5M to the 7L.

Yeh , its a 7L . I aint fussed as the bricks & mortar store has immediately requested 2 new replacements be sent from its other stores to the selling store for me to choose from .

I also never had any probs with kinetic Seiko's in the past , i guess am only inconvienced till replacements get transfered between stores "possibly 1 weeks wait" .

Thats all it is , one defective piece , in todays modern world these things happen to all companies regardless of brand "some more than others" .
