A Little Experiment with my SPC003

I've always like this Sportura model but the stock strap is just a bit too long for my 6" wrist.

I thought that if this strap is inter-changeable then it will be perfect.



I examined the thick lugs, the lugs can be detached from the case(springbars) but the pin holding the strap is not a springbar. I gave up.



Brought it to K2, asked Mr Goh if I can remove the strap & use a normal leather on it, he said he remembered somebody doing it but cannot remember which Sportura model it is.



When I was cleaning my watch an hour ago, I picked up this SPortura & examined the lugs more carefully.



I measured the lug width, it's 22mm. Ok, I'm gonna try an experiment, worse comes to worse, I'll just get a BN strap from TS but heard from Evirobie it cost S$80+(ouch...)



No choice, you never try, you never know.



I took out my bracelet resizing spring loaded tool & push it into the hole(exactly like how we change straps on a pinhole lug)



HEY, one of a pin popped out of its hole!



its a solid piece but thin pin.



I was getting excited when the pin popped out..and....

used a black CF with white stitch on it, to match the honeycomb dial :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

now the Sportura is on an olive cloth strap now, loving it,lol!

The CF strap matches well. But if the cloth strap is cordura than that's good too!

Way cool man! The dial honeycomb pattern matches well e strap. Re-ignition of your love w a new strap , your Sportura is a keeper! Thumbs up!
