Any local "modders" for Sumo?

Any local "modders" for Sumo?
Hi all WIS

I just saw this Sumo mod on the internet.

The Sumo is modded with MM300 dial, hands and a new bezel insert too.

Is there any way to get this done locally whereby the service provider has all the mod parts w/o us ordering parts from overseas.

I don't have the Sumo yet but if I can get the mod done locally,it may just accelerate my Sumo acquisition :D
Re: Any local "modders" for Sumo?

Re: Any local "modders" for Sumo?
You can get the sapphire crystal from yobokies but the dial is damn hard to find. I'm trying to find one right now but it seems impossible. Even the MM300 clasp is hard to find unless you order from Japan.

Re: Any local "modders" for Sumo?
I actually plan to do this mod except for the insert.

I have all the parts though the MM dial and hands are currently in a 6309

Waiting for a bubble boy xtal to put it all together.

Great, show us some pics when you have finish your mod.
Re: Any local "modders" for Sumo?
the modded Sumo to MM looks good on the photos!
Re: Any local "modders" for Sumo?
wow, nice mod. never knew a sumo can be mod into a MM too.

have you tried calling thong sai to ask if they have the dial? you need to quote the model number first i think.
Re: Any local "modders" for Sumo?
does anybody know about how much k2 charges for just installing the dial?
Re: Any local "modders" for Sumo?
just called thong sia. nb they said that they can order that for me but I have to give up my original dial and do a 1 to 1 exchange and they will keep my old dial. Seiko now is acting like Rolex. zzzz. This means this mod is a no go unless you are able to get a marine master dial to exchange with them.

IMHO,if u're willing to spend, get a recon or mod dial then bring.to ts say u got this watch as such and i think they LL also have to sell u and u get to keep ur sumo dial too.

Here is the MM dial and hands on a 6309. One of my favourite mods actually. That's why I am delaying swappming the dial to a sumo  .

Re: Any local "modders" for Sumo?
Can try to contact Rob at SCWF. He is from Holland. See whether he can get one for you or not.

I forget his nick. See whether anyone can help.
