any brands that you can think of or recommend?

Mechanicals prefered.

...but skip the super high end brands :p

this is nice but this brand...looks familiar..hmm..not sure if it's the same brand which a shop in Vivo is carrying, together with Elysee, Ingersoll etc watches..

I googled this brand, it's german brand, using 2824 but of cos, the case is Asia sourced.

The shop that sells the INGERSOLL watches chap lup oredi. No more in VIVO. I think i saw another branch else where... but couldn't remember.

AERONAUTIC the brand is just too niche oredi, not frequently mention in WUS. Movement maybe 2824, but dunno how good the built quality can be. In addition, if this brand is really brought in, most likely it's in small numbers such that the price is more higher than SANDOZ.

SANDOZ SG versions available island wide, only challenge is how much you can bargain with the sellers. The blue dialed yatchmaster by default comes with the gold plated seconds needle. But if you like it red, there's always such option available, just talk to the sellers to book one for you.

although I used to owned a Sandoz Sub when I first started out in watches, it was using the old Sandoz logo, got it for $140 back in 2005-06 at clarke quay flea market,lol

When you buy the SANDOZ Sub, used... personally, i don't feel much comfortable with the used one when i hoot my SANDOZ collection in 2011, where the price is in the process of jumping to another level due to movement price hike. During that time when the regular Subs were in the 2xx price range, you should had buy it new...

Now if you want to jump in to SANDOZ, personally i feel it's too late. I'll encourage you to jump into UHR for their 2824 dive watches instead. Now the SANDOZ standard Subs, blue dial, black dial with SS casing and bracelet or pepsi bezel, jumped into 4xx range oredi...
