Thinking of hooting this piece Brand new or preown for me birdday. Went to the usual AD and the give max 8% discount. Found a shop that gave me 17%. Anybody got a better lobang?



The discount used to be way higher than this but seems like economy pick up and discount became lesser. Somemore now gss lagi bo discount. How can that be?

well bro, with regard to speedmasters or any other swiss/Jap watches,it all depends on the model riao.



say a 861 in a mark II, a 861 in speedmaster professional moonwatch, a 861 in seamaster professional,Omega De Ville Prestige Chronograph...they all use same 861 but the market value are very different. rarity+ current demand n supply...



so mkt value depends which model and where its begin sold/purchase .

best value is 321(sibey expensive) follow by 861 and 1861.



parts for 321 is not easy to find but still ok for 861 and also 1861.

Best if you can get box n papers set cos most speedy pro doesnt come with the accessories and will sure

be easier to resell next time. :evil:

Movt first thing of course differs... next the obvious size differ... 7548 is like SKX007 whereas 7C43 is like SKX033.... white hands and bo SQ on dial in 7C43.... ;)



If I wanna choose... 7C43 for me! :shock:

bro,indeed rare bird...dont think will see many in Sg.



It made in small production for this variant to commemorate the moon landing..so its already a commemorative LE piece back then..

Post-Moon Professional Speedmasters (1st Generation):



Shortly after the successful landing by Apollo astronauts on the moon Omega moved to commemorate the event by means of a specially engraved caseback... The exact begining and ending date of this caseback is not well known, but usage started shortly after the Apollo 11 landing timeframe and lasted until 1971 when the modern caseback was adopted. This is the caseback found on ST145.022's dating from after the first lunar landing to some point in 1971

Funny, is stating price a taboo in the forum? After reading this whole thread, I didn't see any price stated or indicated.



The last time I check, the current RRP is $5950.00 and I think with the controlled Discount is aroung 8%-7%.



If BNIB from AD or Omega direct...well...you guys do the math.



I hope my humble 2 cents contributes a little.

such old model are rather tricky.. I always fear of having after market mechanisms in my watch but how i supposed to know from my naked eyes...haha..but then again, experience and browsing at forums helps by comparing the photos.

for the 861s and 321s there are quite a lot of websites out there that have pics references of dials markers etc to help spot the fakes.. when it comes to movement,, thats also one that is gonna be quite hard to fake. the problem with a lot of the 321s ive seen is not so much fake - but that some parts have been replacd with OEM parts...

It has curved ends which imo fits the speedy's lugs nicely ;)
