Seller send the watch to the wrong address

folks, wanna get your opinion on this. i'm expecting armida a1 soon, but the seller from oz did a mistake by writing the wrong address in the package :cry: instead of my house, he wrote down my neighbor's house upstairs (wrong level number), so what i've done so far:



1. seller told me he's trying to deal this with oz post, but no update on this so far

2. i've talked to my neighbor that a package from oz for me will be sent to his house instead, because of a mistake



anyone experienced this before? my questions are?

1. when the package arrived in singapore, can we check it using singpost website? i've the package tracking number

2. what are you going to do if your neighbor didn't cooperate in this matter (god forbid) :lol: ? let just say that they are afraid that the package is something unlawful :mrgreen:

3. if according to the oz post the package has arrived in singapore, can we intercept it by going to singpost directly?



this is my second time buying from overseas, the first time was with fedex, and it was a smooth transaction, so didn't experienced much

1.It should be trackable either on singpost (registered mail)/speedpost website (EMS)

2. Registered/EMS require signature as proof of delivery/reciept so there's a paper trail if your neighbor doesnt cooperate. As for method of recourse, probably will depend on what the neighbors do with the package.

3. Its almost impossible to intercept as the items usally go right into the mail system on arrival (speedpost courier or the singpost delivery network), I have tried to collect a package once and they told me it will only be possible to arrange to collect either post office/HQ after the first failed delivery. EMS mails via speedpost will go back to Eunos HQ which they will attempt to redeliver again whereas Registered mails will be left at the nearest post office from your place, you can collect them using the piece of paper the delivery person will leave at your door (or in this case your neighbor's door)

Suggestion

1. Inform your good neighbor that you might had one parcel that could have accidentally landed into their hands, so if they do receive, hope they can "help" by returning to you once they receive the item

2. Get seller to indicate in email black and white the mistakes made, notify Singpost of the mistake. If your neighbor has indeed signed for the collection of the item, Singpost will have a acknowledgement to state that they have delivered to the above recipient. You can use this as a proof when bargaining with the neighbor.

3. If really worse come to worse, make a police report should our good neighbor refused to admit that they had signed and taken the parcel that was delivered wromgly

If PayPal, better get ready to do a claim in the event you don't receive the package regardless. I just hope that your neighbor living upstairs will also be straight up about it (if he/she signs for it). As registered/EMS/Speed post, there's a tracking number and your name is there. Did seller send you a photocopy of the parcel sent? That would also help in case you need to talk to Singpost. Problem arise with speedpost not notifying the recipient when no one is around. I just experienced that few days back. Just be as vigilant as you can with the tracking. Call speed post tomorrow with tracking no. See how they can help. Maybe arrange to self pick up at paya .
