Melbourne trippin

Melbourne trippin
Hi guys, i just got back from my brother's awesome wedding in Melbourne.

Although i've been living in Aust for 20+ years, i've never been to Melbourne.

But I must say it's a very nice place....

I did the usual touristy stuff... driving out to penguin island, yarrah valley, QVM, see the 12 apostles (now its like 4?).

but i didnt see many watch places.

maybe i didnt see enough places and back lanes....

An SC bro is from melbourne right?

MIKER!!!!!

maybe i can ask my bro to take a look for me.

Swanston st Salera's jewelers sell Grand Seiko , Collins St swiss luxury watches , crown casino has Rolex & Omega boutique stores . Am glad you enjoy your holiday @ my home town , just as am enjoying Singapore "only not the crowds" .

Ahhhh mate! 2 months holidays and hooting GS and high end seikos is NOT a holiday!

It's my retirement plan!

Glad you enjoyed your stay.

Do keep in touch through this forum.

It would be great if you can snap pics and write up on some watch places to check out in Melb.

Something like our SG list if shops coz I'm pretty sure Melb is a popular spot for Singaporeans to holiday.

I think that would be great resource for everyone to hv that kinda info.

I tried to do the same when I went Japan.

ahh ok.

i'm sure there are days where you'd be vege-ing out on a rainy sunday afternoon/evening with a glass of wine (or beer), with nothing else to do, nothing on tv, no lady friend, just bored out of our brains... i hope on those days, you'd still remember our little forum and maybe continue to post.

your contribution in the past two months has been good i must admit.

it has received some good discussions which has been lacking in the past few months.

thanks for your effort bro!

and all the best when u r back in aust! :) :)

Good to hear that it's was a good trip. Haven't been to Melbourne but have heard only good things about the city. Maybe at some point.

Seems like not a lot of watch shops there?

No actually there many watch shops , mostly @ shopping plaza's or malls , not many boutique stores e.g stand alone stores like Rolex , Omega . Although there are boutique stores , nowhere near like Singapore . There isnt a Seiko boutique either & only two stores in melbourne sell Grand Seiko , Saleras on Swanston st & Saleras Chadstone shopping centre .
