Unless you see the word SWATCH Group or something like that appears on the warranty card... most likely, that could be a piece from another P.I importer lah...

If Omega, remember that on sales guy told me now discount is poor (tightly controlled) Not too sure what other brands you have in mind but Rolex is also tight, and I am told 5% tao chio liao. (can laugh already) if 6-7% VVIP status. How true I don't know but that's what I have heard. Other Swiss brands are more generous with discount (but at the end of the day, can't say yes or no cuz, if one marks up the price and gives 20-25%, it seems like a lot but if the mark up is not so great and 5% may (Key Word = MAY) be more worth while. Bencoolen is PI set for sure and the shop imo too atas for a PI place. Don't mean deal with high end must be atas one. :D Just my opinion.

So... let's say if u get a OhMyGod from a seller named Chimpanzee Time, then they have to honor the warranty to you lah. Just make sure that the one you're getting comes with a common movement lor... other wise, if your movement is a niche one, not only you'll have a hard time looking for the parts to replace once your warranty expires, you may also encounter difficulties in getting that skillful watchmaker who can service your niche movement.

If i am not wrong, Omega 2500 is an ETA 2892-2 base movement, believe many watchmakers can handle bah.

Grey import is as much as like a parallel import. It's just like we buy a SEIKO with MADE IN JAPAN off the showcase from a retailer, and the seller will most likely to tell you that they'll honor a 1yr in-house warranty thats not related to ThongSia. Sounds familiar right? The same should applies to the OMG that you're eyeing on. The seller should give you a detail on how the warranty works, such that you won't be knocking on a wall when(touch wood) you bring your problem OMG to SWATCH to claim for warranty.This will O.T abit... but the same logic applies.
Let's say you buy a IPHONE of the net originated from other country other than SG. If you have a problem with your phone, APPLE SG will not give you free service on repair, exchange or hardware upgrade if you encounter any problem after you have received your phone.
That's why... the price is tempting, but there're always some kind of hidden bugs behind that you have to either bear with or eliminate. The current effective lemon law does not cover goods which are parallel imported.
