I got mine from BigTime yesterday.. not the best discount cos not regular customer (virgin purchase from them) :( but good enough.. I called TS, they quoted $1164 before 10% discount..

I got mine from BigTime yesterday.. not the best discount cos not regular customer (virgin purchase from them) :( but good enough.. I called TS, they quoted $1164 before 10% discount..
Hang on a sec... $1164 for a Sumo?? Seriously?

Check with Skywatches for a second quotation. Before that check their website for price. Cheers.

I usually will call ThongSia and ask price, to compare. I saw in website stated $1088 for quite a while. Cos of fluctuating currency rates, inflation, I was thinking price may change.. So I was right, a slight increase. But $1164 before 10% sounds scary! I got mine from Big Time. Yeah at much lower priced.

On Skywatches website it's $744+, such a big price difference!
be careful because not all of skywatches watches are local sets. i bought my kinetic chronograph from them and after i handed them the money they told me "only shop warranty". asked them in the event i need a repair they said they would have to send it back to their distributor, meaning they cant repair it in house either.

One main reason why I try not to go to them tho the prices are really attractive. I somehow feel better buying from Mr Goh and Big Time..

Price difference of $300+ can cover repair ba. Moreover, what can go wrong with the watch if you can see it and check it on the spot leh? :)

But that being said, if waiting isn't your thing, Sky's prices aren't bad. You can even ask at Twinkle, they MAY even order the watch for you if they haven't got the stock... but that means waiting too.
And seriously, I've never really taken the warranty from these online guys seriously. If there's a catastrophic failure I will, of course, be screaming bloody murder at them and demanding a one-to-one exchange. But otherwise, if there's a problem after I've worn it, I'll just take it to Mr Goh. I'd rather trust him with the repair than leave it to the online guys; after you pay the shipping back to them (or gas and parking to bring it back to the shop) + the waiting time... I'd rather see Mr Goh. At least that way, you know for sure you're getting good work done.
This is, I think, all part and parcel of "finding a good deal". Got to give a little, take a little.

Got my Sumo from Seiko "Thong Sia" , i am a very strong believer in good quailty service & will gladly pay somewhat more $$ than online prices to recieve good face to face service ,"price" is only one factor to my Seiko purchases ;)

If you are a regular customer , Thong Sia Seiko will always help out with discount from my personal exprience .
