How much is too much to pay for a SKX007J
Have offer range from $200 for a SKX007k to a SKX007J @ $250 for export set to a local warranty by TS at between 300 -330. Which while I get. This are all on rubber strap. Like to seek advice. Thank you in advance

SO just means solid oyster strap, suggest getting a normal 007 without the J and change the rubber strap to the SO

So best deal is to get a K version n get the SO, if the new one cost ard 300 for a J version?

The ones I ask are in PPC are mostly export sets at ard $ 250, any one know if the local sets with TS warranty are at ard how much?

Scout at BB however prices are way too high, it's all in the $400 range, only give disc from RRP of $538 :o

I dun mind a pre-owned, however if the different between a pre-owned and a BNIB is <$100, isnt it more worth it as it comes with warranty.



Anyway how much would a SO set me back can share?

I sold my SKX007K on rubber at $180.. they are usually around this range..

I got my SKX007J w/SO for about $370.



It's a shop at PPC 3rd floor called Time Fashion. Comes with 1 year warranty from the shop.

Recently brought a friend to one of my usual joints. Bought a PI set skx009 for $240. Was quoted the same price for the 007.

Wah what happened? The aunty was quite friendly to me leh.. probably cos I bought a few other watches from her before..



Anyway titan77, after trawling through the forum the whole of today, I have gained a slightly better insight...



1) buy the skx007 with rubber strap: I think the J model should be about SGD240



2) google Tungchoy and order the 22mm Super Oyster strap for SKX007/ SKX009 etc. for about USD55 ~ SGD68



Once it arrives then simply change the watch strap. If you want the Seiko emblem on the clasp, from what I gather you can go down to Thong Sia and purchase it for around SGD20 and change the one on the OEM strap. Is this right?

Oh hey thanks! Besides looking different, are they any different in terms of comfort and such? Cause I actually prefer the look of the oyster bracelet, but the skx007 that I saw at 3D at bencoolen only had the jubilee on... :/

I find jubilee more comfortable. Each removable link on the jubilee is smaller than the one on the oyster, and the jubilee bracelet can twist and fold (the oyster can only fold). This allows the bracelet to conform to my wrist better than the oyster.

Just got mine last week. 3 months old skx007k, with unused rubber strap and oyster bracelet (solid end link) for 240sgd.

For me, it is quite a deal

Just bought a watch from twinkle and skywatches. Same model. Twinkle immediately offered me a great price, I would highly recommend them over skywatches.



Warning: the bespectacled skinny looking man at skywatches shop is damn rude. I was talking to his lady colleague about matching the price i paid at twinkle (i needed 2 and twinkle had only 1) when he just stepped in abruptly. He was damn sarcastic about my cheaper purchase with twinkle and the best part is I wasn't even dealing with him. So I just had to give it to him and trust me he deserves it.

That being said, the bespectacled lady colleague was very apologetic for the guy's behavior and was great to deal with.

Agreed with the above comments about Skywatch, they are rather pushy.



Just got this orange SKX011J in seiko oyster from K2. This is my first purchase from Mr Goh, good price and he is really nice to deal with.

If I were you, I'll just hang on for a pre-loved piece. I got mine for $170 with rubber. Paid $30 for a SO from K2. :) the good old 007 is so tradable & liquid, brothers here treat her like a "currency".



If you'd like some good will, friendly service & first hand piece buying experience...paying a tat-bit more would be worthwhile. :)

007 on croc. Different straps just make the 007 look...uncannily classy.



Shouldn't let MIJ or not bother you too much. A 007 is a 007 is a 007! :)
