MM300 Payment Options

MM300 Payment Options
Hi All,

Couldn't resist the poison here and is in the midst to order a MM300 from Higuchi.

Wanted to seek anyone's advice who have bought from overseas using credit card VS using PayPal. The reason is because using credit card got rebate but while I can find out the added sale charge percent, don know how the exchange rate will turn out...

wanted to seek any1's experience in doing so....

Re: MM300 Payment Options
I have not bought from Higuchi personally but I know they have proper store.

I would recommend they deduct the amount directly from your CC to avoid PayPal surcharge and inaccurate exchange rate.

Ask Higuchi whether it can be done.
Re: MM300 Payment Options
Alternatively, accumulate 10 posts and you will be able to access the market place. There is a online seller that offer a good price, and you don't have to pay shipping and GST.
Re: MM300 Payment Options
Thanks Guys,

Actually I know of this shaggy deal but still prefer to get thru Higuchi.

Just wondering anyone has bought watches online (e.g. Higuchi) and used credit card? Want to know if you got a big shock when the bills come?

Thanks

Thanks

You won't get a big shock if PayPal & cc as rates are fixed. If you let cc decide, it can be more or less as currency fluctuates daily. No way to predict. It's just like when using your cc overseas. The exchange rate is always not favorable to us consumers but saved from carrying that kind of cash.

Never bought from high hi so I can't say.
Re: MM300 Payment Options
Use this link to get a rough estimate of exchange rate with additional 2-3% bank charge. http://corporate.visa.com/pd/consumer_services/consumer_ex_rates.jsp" false;
Re: MM300 Payment Options
Remember to factor in GST as Higuchi tends to declare full value.
Re: MM300 Payment Options
Just use spots rates and factor 5%, won't go wrong... then factor another 7% for GST.

I highly suggest the local route unless $$ is not a real concern for you.
Re: MM300 Payment Options
Though I've bought frm Katsu San (Higuchi) b4, I used PP instead of CC coz of its consumer protection in event the parcel gets lost..
Re: MM300 Payment Options
I personally prefer CC instead of PP. My PP got hacked and used without my consent... so once bitten twice shy....
Re: MM300 Payment Options
Many thanks guys for the advice! I will most likely consider whether to go shaggy or higuchi.. Nonetheless i will join the mm300 club very soon

Don't forget the tax man want a share of your watch from higuchi. If u ask the majority of us here, most will take the cheapest. But if $$ is no concern to you, buy what u like.....the chop at the warranty card. :) But seriously, nobody look at warranty card.

Bro, I got mine from higuchi using my Citibank CC and got charge at a very diff rate. I called up Citibank was told that its the way the bank work + higuchi will declare full amount of your purchase so I end up pay more than what I had budgeted. If shaggy is cheaper , better to deal with him in my opinion
