Seiko case

Seiko case
Hi all, I´m newbie here, not newbie to watches.

I´m planning another Seiko mod.

Does anybody know, was the SKX021 always without chapterring ? Or do I have to use a SKX031 case to fit my Seiko dial with 27,5 mm diameter ?

Thanx in advance

Re: Seiko case
hi & welcome to SC Sg

the skx021/023, being at 38mm does not have any chapter ring.

the minute markers for this watch is painted into the dial itself.

the skx031/033 is bigger at 40mm iirc, and has a chapter ring.

both dials are the same size @ 28.5mm

Re: Seiko case
Does that mean, I´d better start with a skx021 because the chapter ring from the skx31 is too big for my 27,5 mm dial ?

Re: Seiko case
Well, the 021 case came in and my fits so far. But I miss the chapter ring. Think I´ll try me a 031 case. Does somebody has a rocked one for me ?
