Any experience with Singapore Omega service center ?
Re: This guy really bash up Omega Service Center big time.
Had excellent service when I went there to restore a vintage omega, the service center is basically for all swatch group watches in Singapore not just Omega.

Communication with the local team was prompt although I wished the turn around time could be a little faster (waited half a year as they couldnt do restoration here, watch was sent back to Omega's HQ in Bienne)

Service staff noticed a crack on the crystal of the Hamilton I was wearing and offered to pressure test it for free which I thought was a nice gesture. :)
Re: This guy really bash up Omega Service Center big time.
Brought my wife's omega and waited 1.5 hours and noticed that only 10 people moved so I left. Well, got it serviced somewhere else without the long queue but then again, I am not an omega fan and don't have any so I would not go there. The omega vintages are something but not since unfortunately IMHO. ;)

I experienced excellent service at Omega Service Centre. The only slight dissatisfaction is that it took a few months for them to service my watch. Other than that, thumbs up from me.
Re: This guy really bash up Omega Service Center big time.
i was there today to send my missus' tissot le locle in for repair. the watch stopped moving, cant even be wound and when i shake it the rotor seems to be spinning freely inside....

anyway waitedone hour + waiting time just to get toget someone to serve me. i explained to the lady at the counter my problem and she looked at me, forcefully turned the crown and smirked.. 'it is ok what' and returned the watch to me. wth... i reminded her that the watch still isnt moving . only then she took it back and looked at it, 'oh ya' . shook it and heard that disheartening noise and said 'maybe it is the rotor' . God i was pissed and gave her the disgusted look.

it gets worse. she inspected the watch for any famage, found some really fine scrayches and said that i might have dropped or mishandled it and might not be covered under warranty. i dont know about you but i was trying my best not to let out a wtf...
Re: This guy really bash up Omega Service Center big time.
Oh man... that's sucks. I guess customer service centers are always a hit and miss kind of experience...
Re: This guy really bash up Omega Service Center big time.
on a separate note.. i got a 16040m recently. :D but when i got home i realised that the lume dot on the bezel is that-wee-bit off-centred. decided that i couldnt bear the sight of it and brought it down to RSC. they immediately changed the bezel insert for me. waited more only abt an hr.

can't believe the difference in cust. svc..
Re: This guy really bash up Omega Service Center big time.

WATCH making groups nowadays are much too focus on their sales volume that boost their company profile. It's not like in the past where workmanship quality+pricing+after sales=reputation. SWATCH group can be cocky in the watch making business world, it won't be hard for them to be cocky to the consumers. Today when they mark up and control their watch prices to the general public, they won't feel the pinch/pain if they pisses off a little 1 or 2 supporters since they're already in the winning front, owe to the sucess of the popular brands they acquired.

It's easier to say than done. For us, seasoned collectors, we know jolly well what kind of quality of the SWATCH group watches may be as well as what kind of part that's the most expensive in their watches, the movements.

However, for general public, what they know are watches from the brands that owned by the SWATCH group, due to over advertising and brand promotion. Hence, in SG, SWATCH group have a winning edge is such competition of popularity compare to other SWISS brands in the market where they're marketed by smaller companies, such as MIDO and EPOS by BIG TIME, VICTORINOX by FJB, TITONI by ATG... As you can see, those SWISS brands you can name out, are pretty small... in comparison to the SWATCH group.
