bo leather liao, so playing with nylon

Nylon bund straps with lumtec B6 ...







materials: leather (as backing), 2" nylon webbing, nylon zulu strap and 2 screw snaps





tools: styrofoam cutter( $2 from daiso), plier and a nail. ( a needle and candle not shown). Use the plier to grip the heated needle or nail.





safety: always wear safety glasses, gloves and mask when required



methods: cut out the shape of the bund on a piece of paper and then staple it on the nylon webbing. Turn the foam cutter on and let it heat up and then cut out the nylon bund. heat up the needle and cut 4 slots for the bund loops. Stich and glue the loops and finally glue on the leather backing. (Sorry huh, only brief description and no pics )

cut the zulu straps into 2 parts (the short length with the buckle, and the other long length) with the foam cutter. Heat up the nail and burn 2 holes on each strap for the screw snaps. The size of the nail depends on the size of the stem of the snaps. When all is done..

Conclusion: Foam cutter can be used to cut nylon webbing cleanly. Btw, did I mention safety goggles, gloves and mask :lol: :lol: :lol:

great mod.. the only mod with nylon I have is to incorporate a Sinn buckle into a Zulu setup.. :lol:
