Seiko sumo for small girls wrists
Hey everyone, I've been seriously thinking about a sumo for quite some time..really interested in the blue version. Unfortunately, as you can tell from the title, my wrists is only about 6.2inches. Just want to know if any bros here have any experience with the sumo and such small wrists like mine?



I'm sorry if it has been asked before here..running a search hasn't shown anything, except on watchuseek forums. Even over there ppl's smallest wrists are still bigger than mine.



I've been doing some research of my own. From what I gather, it seems like the lugs do stick out quite a bit and on my wrists, 50mm lug to lug looks quite strange already. I have a 45mm watch with 55mm lug to lug, the lugs stick out quite a lot and frankly it is only good for casual wear. Was hoping that the sumo's curved lugs might help fit my wrists better.



Would be happy to hear any of your views.. I know can always hoot first and flip if it does not suit me..just hoping to make an informed decision before I do!

sumo wears ok on my 6", paiseh, no wristshot, only tried it on for 10secs before putting it back into the box :lol:



i noe there are a couple of SC bros with 6" wrist and own both Sumo & MM300

You really should. Pop by any of the friendly watch shops and try it on. Seeing it on other wrists won't be the same as feeling it on your own.

Hmm you know I've actually never thought of that. I always thought the sumo was jdm and can only be ordered thru higuchi or the others. Probably drop by ppc to take a look soon. Thanks for the suggestion man!

watch head size shouldn't be an issue. but gotta take note of the length of the bracelet clasp (with diver extension). it was too long for my 6 1/4 wrist and the clasp kept digging into my skin because of the odd shape of the bracelet

i doubt PPC carries Sumo

by the way, it's perfectly fine to have big watch on small wrists. my gf has a 5.9" wrist, wears my explorer and I totally dig it.

it's at John little ladies' department. scale is much like the one in takashimaya.

Have seen them at Sky and asked the price: ard 900+. Not sure about their website prices tho.

by the way, it's perfectly fine to have big watch on small wrists. my gf has a 5.9" wrist, wears my explorer and I totally dig it.

for some unexplainable reason, i always find girls who wear big watch hot (provided they are decent looking in the first place), whereas put a big watch a guy's small wrist and the effect isn't quite as good. :oops:

the sumo should fit you just fine... it is one of the most comfortable bigger watches out there.

the case design is ergonomically designed for smaller wrists.



but like what some of the bros mentioned, the tricky part is adjusting the bracelet so the divers clasp sits comfortable on your wrist.



go try is out at Big Time.... or you can just meet up with any of the SC bros who has the sumo and is staying near by your area for a kopi and chit chat about watches or whatever.
