Spring Bar / Pin

Spring Bar / Pin
Hi all, I am new to this forum and watch appreciation itself. Gonna ask a noob question here, so hopefully can get some good pointers please. :)

W.r.t. the watch spring bars, understand most ppl remove with a small spectacle screw driver with the "-" head. While removing and re-inserting the bar, I dragged the bar in/out once it is out of the pin-hole. Reaslied that I inadvertantly scratched the inside walls of the lug. I would love to be able to keep the ends in till they clear the inner walls but it's very difficult. This might not be a big issue as they are in a rather hard to see area, and are mainly hairline scratches, but it just bothered me.

Can any pros please advise on this? Or is this the only way? Thank you. :D
Re: Spring Bar / Pin
compress the spring bar all the way first then remove

will help if u use a proper springbar tool because u can grip the flange firmly without it slipping

to insert , insert one end first into the hole then the other end slide it down your fingernail directly into the hole

Ok thanks, probably good idea to get the springbar tool then. Think I read somewhere that Mustafa is selling, and not too expensive.

Thanks again! :)
